Surfboard Story Surfing the Boom Nicaragau

A truly heart-warming story; something real, unpolluted and pure. But first, the bleak setting, then the uplifting illumination: It’s easy to feel uneasy these days, ever since that ‘new normal’ thing was kicked off a few years ago. We all feel it. When you look around and see that the world is being manipulated and divided, plundered by a small group of people that have no clue what it means t...

Bullet Single Fin Surfboard & Its Definitive Purpose

Todd discusses how free a single fin feel can be. For those of you who haven't ridden a single fin before or think that it was just a 70's design that was obsolete when the thruster came along. It really isn't. It has its purpose. And it's a definite purpose that it's got. And that's to refresh your rail game, keep things free and easy and glidey, and it really lets you work on technique too. I...

I walk through six different iterations of outlines, rockers, rail shapes, deck lines and t...

Board looks good and sounds well made. Also, the rider can surf well. I’m wondering if he and the shaper have tried twinzer setup fins? The small fins upfront on a twinzer is called canard which clean the water prior to the main larger fin behind which give it better control and higher speed. Just like some fighter jet planes with canard wings. I think twinzers are the future fin setup and is not that well known but is slowly becoming known. Most ride either thrusters twins and or twin with small trailer. My boards are now twinzers and they go so well!

I recently surfed my fish with 2 separate fins, one pivot on my heelside, and one keel for my toe side. That alone changed the board for the better in order of magnitude, so I can only imagine how a asym shaped board could benefit a surfer, especially an average surfer. Pro's and highly advanced guys have already figured out their adjustments on a symmetrical board but for the every day guy, it would be a game changer in my opinion. it would be little to no adjustment and taking the best rail line for toe side turns and the best rail line for heel side turns. I am hoping to try one soon. Not sure where to started though, I guess technically, I started already but surfing my fish with 2 different fins. That shape look rad, BTW. Thanks for your insight.

Looking good 💯 I've often thought about this concept to help smooth texture and chop. Some shapers may still do that for guns. The original Cole's were out of necessity, I believe the story goes. The rockers in his blanks were compromised in shipping so he added entry rocker by cutting vee up front. EEV is all Maurice! Fact check me because the fumes have taken a toll👊🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻

The reverse vee disappeared because 1992 was all about Kelly and his super thin narrow glass slippers. I ride Geoff McCoy Nugget single fins with Loaded Dome bottoms and lots of rocker, good for steep faces, but many times I need less rocker, for flatter faced waves and weak mush, multiple fins, and concaves so that reverse vee looks nice. Keeping the nose rail from dragging water and lifting the board's nose out of the water at speed seems nice. Hope all that concave and tail rocker helps make it easy to put on rail hard.

I’ve had a ghost as my daily driver for pretty much everything everyday unless I’m on something weird it’s something like 7 years deep and has ZERO dings and zero pressure dings and it feels exactly the same as the day I got it. Not sure how it would hold up to airline abuse but as far as riding it a zillion times and tossing it in the back of my truck is goddamn indestructible.
